Historic Columbia Foundation is hosting an array of fun fall events during the month. One of the highlights is our first Scarecrows in the Garden Exhibit.

Throughout the month, guests can view handcrafted scarecrows from local businesses, organizations, families and individuals from the community. Guests are encouraged to come back to the Robert Mills House for weekly visits to see the scarecrows and to find “Sneaky Steve,” our special scarecrow who seems to go missing on the property often. Find “Sneaky Steve” and enter to win a drawing for prizes. Also, cast a vote for the “People’s Choice Award” after selecting your favorite scarecrow. Ballots are located in our Museum Shop at the Robert Mills House.

We’ll provide other activities during the month as well, including a scavenger hunt, Family Day: Fun in the Fall, and Historic Hauntings, featuring bus tours and cemetery tours the week of Halloween. Please see our listing of upcoming events for more information on these and our other great fall activities.
