Historic Columbia Welcomes Megan Plott as New Director of Development

We are pleased to announce Megan Plott has joined Historic Columbia as the new director of development. In this leadership role, Plott will oversee the planning, implementation and evaluation of all fundraising and membership programs of Historic Columbia.

For the past 10 years, Plott has been involved with Historic Columbia as a volunteer, including serving as past president of Palladium, a dynamic group of diverse professionals who support the mission of Historic Columbia through educational, social and fundraising initiatives. In 2016, Plott was recognized with the “Rising Star Award” for her volunteer work and dedication to the organization.
Plott comes to Historic Columbia from Facility360, a solution-based facilities management company. As an account manager, Plott was responsible for maintaining and growing relationships with clients by completing construction and facilities management projects safely, on time and under budget. Prior to joining Facility360, Plott was an associate financial advisor at Plott & French Financial Advisors, where she oversaw the day-to-day operations of the boutique firm, engaged in new business development and managed a portfolio of clients. Plott also served as an account manager with Cyberwoven and was the marketing and communications director with the YMCA of Columbia.
In 2015, Plott was named one of Columbia Metro Magazine’s “Young Professionals on the Rise.” In addition to Plott’s volunteer involvement with Historic Columbia, she is a volunteer and member of the Columbia Museum of Art’s Contemporaries, an active member of My Carolina Alumni Association and is past chair of International Association of Business Communicators.
Plott received her B.A. in Mass Communications from the University of South Carolina.
