Palladium Silent Auction
Held annually in October
This annual celebration and fundraiser features live music, delicious barbecue, and specialty drinks on the grounds of the Hampton-Preston Mansion and Gardens. Dozens of unique items are up for auction each year, with all proceeds benefitting Historic Columbia.Target audiences

Trunk or Treat
Held annually in October
All treats, no tricks! Community members and local organizations meet annually on the grounds of the Robert Mills House to pass out candy to local children and play historic games.Target audiences

Candlelight Tours
Held annually in December
At Candlelight Tours, attendees learn about traditions of the past in a spirited environment. Tickets include entry to two house museums lit by candlelight, access to a Holiday Vendor’s Market, and a children’s activity area with free, takeaway crafts.Target audiences

Holiday House Tours
Held annually from mid-November through December
Guests are invited to see a variety of holiday decorations and experience traditions of the past at the Robert Mills House and Hampton-Preston Mansion. Tours are offered 5 days a week through the holiday season.Target audiences

Held annually in May

Concert in the Gardens
In partnership with the South Carolina Philharmonic, Historic Columbia presents 4-6 annual concerts of light classics in its gorgeous gardens. Attendees are invited to bring a picnic and enjoy beautiful music in a beautiful environment.

Free Sundays
Every third Sunday of the month, residents of Richland and Lexington counties are invited to tour of one of Historic Columbia’s house museums for FREE thanks to the generosity of an event sponsor. The featured property changes on a monthly basis.

Walking Tours
One Sunday a month, history walking tours are offered of established Columbia landmark areas. Although the route changes each month, the experience of learning about history on foot stays the same.

Renovation Rodeos
