HC Rental Coordinator Honored
Monday, July 15th 2019
Each year, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) accepts nominations to scout young professionals showing strong leadership qualities, excelling in their careers and giving back to their communities. After nominations are submitted, the CFF selects a pool of the best and brightest to represent their city! Honorees, sponsors, and community leaders who participate in this program are given the opportunity to display their community involvement and professional achievements—and to be recognized among Columbia’s Finest.
Historic Columbia is proud to announce the naming of Brittany Buckner to Columbia’s Finest Young Professionals list! As our Rental Coordinator, Brittany works hard throughout the year to assist the public in hosting celebrations, weddings, festivals, meetings and everything in-between at our 4 historic rental properties. She also works closely with other Historic Columbia staff and community partners to schedule and facilitate programs that make positive, edifying impacts in our city. Brittany was specifically nominated for this award due to her annual work with McWhirter, Bellinger & Associates when hosting their events at the Seibels House. Her attention to detail, organizational skills and bright personality have kept individuals and companies alike returning to Historic Columbia for their venue needs!
Over the next several months, Brittany and the 9 other outstanding Columbia honorees will participate in workshops and networking events to further their involvement with the CFF, while also participating in a guided fundraising campaign. The Columbia Brewer's Ball on October 17, 2019 is an evening that culminates the Finest campaign by recognizing honorees and inviting the greater Midlands community to come together to enjoy craft beer, food, live music, and more, while making a difference in the lives of those living with cystic fibrosis.
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation was created in 1955 and has become the world’s leader in the search for a cure for cystic fibrosis. The unyielding determination of this organization and its founders has resulted in accelerating innovative research and drug development over the past 60 years, as well as advancing care and advocacy. Virtually every approved drug therapy on the market has been made possible because of this impassioned foundation and its supporters. You can learn more about this organization and cystic fibrosis here.
Please join us in congratulating Brittany on this achievement and wishing her well in her fundraising efforts for the CFF!
