Join Historic Columbia Director of Operations Jeffrey Richardson to learn more about the organization in a time of transition. Having held key positions across the country at museums big and small, municipal and non-profit, Richardson will provide an overview of his career to show how it will inform his tenure as Acting Executive Director.
About Jeffrey Richardson
Jeffrey Richardson is responsible for overseeing the implementation of daily activities across Historic Columbia’s six historic sites and 14 acres of manicured landscapes. Prior to joining Historic Columbia in 2022, Richardson worked at the Autry Museum of the American West in Los Angeles, the Farmington Museum System in New Mexico, and the Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History outside of Atlanta. He has written books and articles on a variety of topics, including Colt: The Revolver of the American West and Howard Hughes and the Creation of Modern Hollywood. He has also appeared as an expert commentator on numerous programs, such as Mysteries at the Museum, Pawn Stars, Storage Wars, and History Detectives. In addition to his role as Director of Operations, Richardson is currently serving as Acting Executive Director.

This monthly virtual series delves into diverse topics such as archaeology and women's history, featuring Historic Columbia staff and local experts. Each session includes a forty-five-minute presentation followed by a Q-and-A. Attendance is free, but registration is required to receive the meeting link.
