2806 Pickett Street
Built in 1930 at a cost of $3,000, this bungalow was one of two on this block built by the Blanks, a couple who lived at 1129 Hagood Avenue. The wide archway that frames its shallow porch also marks its central entrance. Oversized knee braces support the gabled arch’s wide eaves, while the building’s low-pitched roof and exposed rafter tails represent further hallmarks of the bungalow form.
