Ehrlich House
Blending the Italianate and Queen Anne architectural styles, this circa-1869 house reflects the success of Edward Ehrlich, a notable Columbia businessman. The son of a German immigrant, Erhlich heavily modified the residence in the 1880s to reflect his financial success and social aspirations. Notable changes included the addition of hand-tooled leather wall hangings and intricate interior woodwork rendered by Austrian artisans who also constructed the Biltmore Estate.
