Site of McMaster House
Constructed about 1853 for Colonel Fitz McMaster, this residence was once one of Columbia’s most well-known social landmarks. It stood on the northwest corner of Laurel and Bull streets until its demolition in 1970. Like many of its contemporary antebellum neighbors, the property featured notable gardens.
