12 Gibbes Court
Haltiwanger House
This house, built in 1913 for James W. Haltiwanger, is an example of the American Craftsman Bungalow style popular in the early 20th century. Following the excess of the Victorian era, Craftsman homes reduced the ornamentation and relied upon machine-made materials. As the Art & Crafts movement gained popularity, bungalows were marketed in catalogs as kit homes from businesses such as Sears.
