Historic Columbia is proud to partner with Experience Columbia to offer guided walking tours of Columbia's Vista district. Start your tour at the new Visitors Center at the corner of Gervais and Lincoln streets and follow our experienced guides to learn more about the fascinating history of this dynamic Columbia district.

Comprising more than 800 acres, the Congaree Vista is listed in the National Register of Historic Places as the “West Gervais Street Historic District” and is protected as an architectural conservation district by the City of Columbia. Bounded by the Congaree River to the west and Assembly Street to the east, this district features a great collection of historic buildings, many of which have benefited from adaptive use over the years. These tours will offer a glimpse into the district’s past, present and future.
